MTB clubs/group rides Claremont/Rondebosch/Newlands

I’m trying to figure who are the mountain bike cycling clubs / riding groups in Cape Town southern suburbs. I am looking for a group to join on weekday evenings (one, sometimes twice a week) and weekend rides (Sat or Sun).

As far as I know there are the following clubs, but looks like they mostly do road rides:

Club100

Freewheel Cycology

Atlantic cycling

Somewhere I read about a mid week ride departing the Newlands fire station around 06h30. Not sure if this is a club thing or informal group ride.

Does anyone have specific info about any other mountain bike clubs or groups rides in Claremont, Rondebosch, Newlands area? Any info will be appreciated.

The midweek ride leaving Newlands Firestation used to be a Club100 ride. It doesn’t happen any longer. Perhaps the guy who organised it still has a group that rides from there but it’s no longer under that clubs banner.

There is a ride from BikePark Uitsig on Thursday evenings at 18:30. It’s a chilled ride.

Freewheel cycology is probably your best best for a road and Mtb experience.
Atlantic seems active too but I haven’t seen them around for a while so maybe a member can speak up here.

what sort of ride level are you looking for? I have a group in southern suburbs that does both road and mtb
