Sorry to hear. Same MO in Centurion. 3 guys in a car attacking the cyclist and a bakkie loading the bike.

Anymore detail on the incident ? Were the guys hiding or just walking there ?

Problem is its so dark there at that time of the morning.

MO is the follow you with the car and either block you and jump out or they run you off the road. 

The bakkie pulls up and takes the bike. 

I think a blue fiesta was mentioned in Centurion.
