Chriszelle Posted July 25, 2023 Share I have a Garmin Fenix Solar 7s, and I have wondered if anyone has tested (any) of their Garmin Solar devices to see how much (long/time) sun exposure is really needed for a full or 'good' charge?
dasilvarsa Posted July 25, 2023 Share Charge it At home on USB. During the Run it will be very Battery Efficient and Last You Many Extra Hours. I Would not use direct Sunlight to Charge the Device as it will raise the Temperature of the Device. Pieterlab1 and Chriszelle

The solar on these devices isn't really meant to charge the battery, it's intended to extend battery life while doing an activity. You might be able to charge the battery if you leave it in the sun long enough but I'm pretty sure it will take AGES. dasilvarsa
