Another option is agree to have your LBS hold the bike. They can provide the buyer with full details of it etc etc  and once the cash arrives in your bank account they ship it to the buyer... It's a win all round as they might pick up a sale from you and are also the best to give an honest view of the bike being sold. They usually have good shipping partners as well. You obviously need a good relationship with the shop...
