Elgin has long been a playground, training terrain, and race location for mountain bikers, but since late 2022 it has evolved into a more unified trail network too thanks to the work of the Elgin Valley Trails pioneers. They have however faced significant challenges in the last two years, mainly due to flooding and erosion.
