Howick MTB trails

A couple of years ago Chainsaw took us on some great trails. 
can someone share some routes in this area, or explain the permit requirements, where to start etc?

I dislocated my shoulder on our first outing at Karkloof, so I’m out of commission.

My wife is thus riding solo, she is directionally challenged, but has a garmin.

Karkloof Club are now custodians if the Howick trails. You will need to pay them at the club house  in order to ride any of the Howick trails. Not sure if any of the marked trails go anywhere near the howick Firetower trails (Gums, Pines, Kathryn's, Face), but they do go out towards Syd Vicious (near Curry's Post Road) on the 37 and 42km marked routes.
