upgrade bottom bracket

Hi everyone, I want to upgrade my bottom bracket square taper to shimano BB52. I tried watching youtube videos however I don't see a part where the old spindle after installing the BB its like they put new cranks. My bike is avalanche Reflex 1 with 2 bolts system. Do i need to buy new cranks or crank shaft for BB52?

BB52 is Hollowtech, whereas your current BB is square taper. The big difference is that the crankshaft is part of the crank on the former, but not the later (crankshaft is attached to the drive side crank and then fastened on the non-drive side). In short, yes, you would need new cranks as well.

As mentioned above. BB52 is designed for a completely different crank system.

Different BB is not really an upgrade, so if your BB needs replacing, as the bearings do go, replace it with another square taper and reuse the cranks.

If your bike has loose bearings for the BB, try find a cartridge style square taper to replace it with. Either way you will need a couple special tools to remove the cranks and another for the BB

Thank you I guess this is the cheapest way to go, in actual fact  i was looking at making my bike look stylus without spending a lot.
