Hi all

I missed the Crater Cruise event due to last minute logistic problems and was wondering if anyone has done any of the Venterskroon gravel events?

I see there is one in July again

And also a totally different offering than the Crater Cruise. Don't expect the same standard of organisation, waterpoints and gees. And it is quite a bit more expensive to enter.

Totally understandable. If you want to come and ride in the area, give me a shout. I have family that has a farm not far from Koedoeslaagte (closer to Potch and the Schoemansdrift road) and we can arrange an informal waterpoint for you.

@RDL101 not sure where you're from. I stay in Parys, and we have a regular Saturday morning MTB ride. Ages range from 30ish to 70+, and distances are anything from 50 to whatever the craziest amongst us want to do (looking mostly at myself!). Few ebikes amongst us, so distances are generally clipped to 70-80 or less. Sometimes we ride Venterskroon side, other times towards the other sides of town.

@'Kaze Pete might have insider information😉😉 about when we might experience something along the lines of Beat the Brewer again. 

That was heaps of fun, very affordable, lots of gees and great (beer) waterpoints😁.

Rather do the Brewer than that other event. Been at both, got the so-called t-shirt.
