  1. That bike would incapacitate half the field because we will be staring at this beauty. I'm also considering my singlespeed, even though not such a beauty.
  2. Skuus Oom Bennie, I just thought since the elevation was far less than the rest of the Koepel and because we know how singlespeed bedonnerd you are (it takes one to know one 🫣) that it is worth a try.
  3. What bike did you ride? You could maybe consider one of the singlespeeds?
  4. Chris is very right about the WA group. The chirps and chat is going on constantly. Most of us just want to get the work up to date and get down to the Argus. We can't wait! NS. Please keep bad weather predictions to yourself 😉
  5. Ai Chris, jy het dan dieselfde dag as die Potch-trein die early bird inskrywing gedoen...
  6. You can't go wrong with Robert. The closest you can come to a customized bike without having to build it yourself at a very good price and service.
  7. Only posting pics now, took the MTB's for some gravel and game viewing on Wednesday afternoon. @Scary Rider @RobertWhitehead
  8. Moenie van die hitte vergeet nie!
  9. I was quite surprised when I saw CST on offer at the Maxxis stand. They did go all out with the MTB's this year, historically the stand was more focused on motorbikes and scramblers and their tire needs. It was a very pleasant surprise though and we had a nice chat with the representatives.
  10. I have a Jack Rabbit Tubeless Ready on my hardtail. It has been on for about a month and I have no complaints. The tread pattern is probably more intended for speed than for grip. I bought the tire from the Maxxis stand at the Nampo agricultural exhibition so you are correct in your assumption regarding the pedigree of the company.
  11. Totally understandable. If you want to come and ride in the area, give me a shout. I have family that has a farm not far from Koedoeslaagte (closer to Potch and the Schoemansdrift road) and we can arrange an informal waterpoint for you.
  12. And also a totally different offering than the Crater Cruise. Don't expect the same standard of organisation, waterpoints and gees. And it is quite a bit more expensive to enter.
  13. l'll be there with my 26" dual suspension MTB. Grateful the event is revived and that we can ride in the Koepel.
