Does anybody have experience or knowledge of the Z-Tech brand?

A wheelset crossed my path, superficially they look OK and are very well priced. I am a bit reluctant to pull the trigger though as low price usually means low quality.

I would appreciate any insights.

Thanks!

Omnico's house brand from their Zini bikes. Tubeless may be a challenge, not sure about spare freehubs and the like if you break something.

You get what you pay for here, so whether they work for you depends largely on what kind of riding you'll be using them for - although as with a lot of their stuff you could do far worse for the price.

Tubeless setup is not a problem on this wheel.

It is on the heavy side. The rim witdh is also quite wide- in line with modern rims, I think it's 30MM internal width. Freehub body is very easy to get from Omnico through your lbs.

The hubs also use sealed bearings (only in the hub not the freehub), not cup and cone (with loose ball bearings) like the entry level hubs you get.

For the price - I don't think you will find anything that beats it at this price point.
