I am also a Raleigh fan, I rode a leading brand name bike and it cracked(BB) after only 6 months of riding, they did not want to replace, so what do you do?  Buy a bike that the SA Champs (Male, female, road, MTB) ride and has got great aftersales service.  Only choice.  Raleigh.  The bike is also very comfortable.

I Think I deserve the new Raleigh an "admirer" decided mine would look real good jammed under the front of his car!!!

I think for most of us that have to buy their own bike there is nothing wrong with their product. None of us will be able to tell the differance in performance between them and R20 000 botique brands.

I think our wallets can tell the difference between R20,000 for a  botique brand frame and R20,000 for a whole Raleigh bike!

We are actually lucky with Raleigh SA, in NZ if you want a Raleigh you end up with the Raleigh USA stuff and it just doesn't compare.

Hey Newby what do you do for a living?

Embarrassed

Hi Sorry

I have to steal time on my beautiful wifes notebook, each night..

I have been in Procurement, and Sales Management many years..

Most of it in The Hardware/handtool Industry..

I have just been Constructively retrenched, from Building material Industry

On a lighter note..

I eventualy got a MTN cycling kit today..

On my first ride tonight.... I had my fisrt real good fall

To save my bike, and new kit.. I sacrificed my knee...

Now my knee is one big RALEIGH BRANDED ROASTIE...
