...............dos anybody know how long the Labs have to complete all the doping tests once they have recieved the samples.

 

If Ricco was tossed out on the 12 stage and tested positive on stage 4, there appears to be about a week delay to do the tests and verify a result, but is 7 days the max or can they take longer - just interested to know.

I think that your samples could be tested at any time in the future as well. So when new test come out, they could re-test samples.

Yes, sure gianni, I think you are right, but I was wondering if the labs had a sort of time limit before they announced a clean or non negative result.

I should imagine there must be or else the race could be over for three weeks and the lab still may not have finished the tests.

I was just trawling around the net and it seems that ASO as organisers demand the results back within 7 days, which makes sense, but I am not sure if its a standard or just with the grand tours / events run by them.
