Group rides in Hout Bay

Hi all, I'm visiting Hout Bay this weekend and want to know if there are any groups going out on a ride tomorrow morning (Sunday, 1 March, 2026).

Tomorrow there will be approx ten thousand people of all shapes and sizes cramming some training in for the CTCT next week on their way through Hout Bay. You’ll see some pretty dusty old “rigs”, tandems, wooden bikes and a lot of oomies on enduro e-bikes. Avoid the riders that look like they only learnt to ride a bike last week Saturday.

You should be able to jump on a group along Empire road or at the bottom of the Chapman’s peak climb without issue.

Group ride from greenpoint lighthouse, leaving there at 6:30am

 

believe there’s some Hout Bay people heading there from HB around 5:30am.
