Hi all,

I am new to the cycling world. I recently bought a Marvel 'dumb trainer'. I find it rather useless, there is no real resistance even when riding in the lower gears. Am I doing something wrong or are these trainers not really worth it?

I was wondering if getting a Garmin Speed Sensor 2, to track distance at least, and be able to connect to My Whoosh, would that make it worth it?

Thank you in advance.

Maybe a photo, to help guide answers to your model.

"Wheel on" trainer?  It should have an adjustable magnetic resistance system.

Setup is important. You must ensure the correct amount of contact/pressure on you tyre.

Use of an IDT specific tyre also helps.
