Taneesha Posted August 1, 2008 Share Hey, welcome to the Alpine riders! I have one now for almost 8 months and done approx 1,000 km's on it, mostly offroad in Tokai. (yes, I am that red in the face woman puffing uphill...) Had a bit of trouble with the setting of the gears in the beginning, but that was after a few months sorted. It is a bit heavy, but feels very solid and I'm getting excellent speed downhill, although that might have something to do with my own gravity pull. So far it managed to survive my crashes more or less in tact and I haven't had major repairs on it. Just changed the chain and after hitting a rock I had to change my largest cogwheel. [/quote'] a friend also bought one but i think his deal beats your awesome deal as he paid R 2600-00. But anyway he also started riding now at 40+ a few.
