found this on Tinker's blog....

"Riding my Scalpel brings back the good feelings, especially now since it's a carbon frame. (Doesn't it seem like every bike is carbon these days??) I love my Six 13 Scalpel so much but I forgot how to set it up for XC."

we've all seen that propto's that sauser rode years ago, but has anyone seen this incarnation ?

Only a few were made, all in the same size apparently. I think because it costs a fortune to make different sizes. I know the riders all say the bike is awesome! And it looks good.

853 is cool but there are now so many cool steels out there! I want some I want all! Go check out the Sycip's with the custom brazing, they are so pretty to look at!

In fact, just read today that the Columbus boys have made a new steel that is aparently the absolute bees knees! It's called XCr.

A custom hardtail! What? Waste all the customising on a hardtail, ridiculous!

isn't it funny how the steel bikes are the one's that are the most memorable?

the bike i remember most fondly was a Tange Prestige GT Richter 8.0. What a sweet ride...

I've ridden a Scapin road bike, it belonged to Ivan Gotti at the time, it is absolutley sublime to ride!

Also at Worlds I was crusing with the English IF team, rode Ian's bike, he rode mine we decided that we both still like our own bikes.

did anyone here ever own a Bridgestone MB Zip? I didn't get to ride one much but i think they were quite good, if a little 'noodly'... (technical term)

A german buddy of mine, owns an MB0 (zipp), still in original spec with a marzocchi suspension fork on its.

I think he still has the purple, green and yellow Gaerne MTB shoes too........and purple lycra shorts....

A very prominent F1 engineer wanted to buy it off hime for GBP1000!
