Angry!!!!

I bought a pair of Scott MTB shoes 2 weeks ago from Due South in Woodlands Mall on special and thought they looked and felt great. Till I did my first ride in them. 10km later I had a really sore right foot and thought it was the cleat setup. But after my second ride last night I figured it out. The shoe has an uneven surface on the inside. The right shoe has a ridge just behind the arch of my foot on the "outside" edge and it hurts me. There is no ridge on the left shoe, so in my opinion it's a manufacturing fault.

What can I do about it?

Do I just accept it as a R600 f**kup? Or can I return the shoe as faulty?

Return it as faulty.

Don't get too upset as these things happen and you will probably be surprised at how easily people admit there is a problem and give you a new pair of shoes.

I had a look online, they're the Scott Trail.

Will only be able to go past there next week though :(

Suppose I'll have to give them a call in the mean time to make a complaint.

I bought mine from the exact same shop, same price. I am so happy with them, no problems. Must be a dud shoe. I'm sure they'll replace it.

The Olympic ones were the first shoes I considered, but they weren't such a comfortable fit, where the Scotts are rigid and still have a nice soft lining.
