  1. Also PM "MyRace" to check with their support desk re the status of your app. Jade/Myrace will help you..
  2. 3 Wiel - I had exactly the same scenario. Email Jade James (jade@roag.co.za) to help you. The reason why it's taking so long is that your app is probably awaiting Provincial (CGC) approval.
  3. Hyt seker nie gevee nadat hy geboorte geskenk het aan die swartkop seuntjie nie...Sy bibshorts het seker 'n lekker briekmerk in gehad. sies.
  4. Where exactly is Tour de Frans? The gps won't pick up North Rand rd..
  5. Spent 3 hours in traffic on Sat to collect number @ Emperors. Took 45 minutes from Griffiths offramp to inside of Emperors parking lot (and i was early) & missed my start group. Took me 1H20 min to drive 70km back to home..i'm gatvol of roadworks on highways Marshalling and metro cops did an awesome job. Marshalling 100% better than last year. No water at waterpoints/finish. Distance of 97km incorrect. I recorded just over 106km? Can anyone confirm this and if racetec will adjust times?
  6. agteros kom ook in die kraal..also in GL
  7. JB, I ordered salmon shimano inserts from SJS Cycles (sjscycles.co.uk) yesterday since their shipping is a little cheaper than HarrisC. Dealt with SJS before and they're excellent. Can't wait for them to arrive!
  8. JB, are the Koolstop Dual compound ones also good or are the Salmon compound the best to use?
  9. I experienced the same with the Wet Fast One.. JB, how do Koolstop compare to SwissStop Pads? You don't have any koolstops in stock that you can sell to me? Thx
  10. Thats what happens when you put an uneducated fool in a managing role. The SAPS (and every government dept) should be run like a business, with ethics and good corporate governance. No performace, pack your things in your office and get the f*ck out. Beke Cele sounded like Mugabe on the snippett they had on 702 this morning justifying why they should have the party. They have no comprehension for a scarce commodoity (tax payers money) and how to manage it. The pissup wil problably cost taxpayers more than R20m. The golden goose (taxpayers) can't produce the egss at the rate these individuals with wet towels wrapped around their brains spend it . Combined with the influx of illegals and less than 3million taxpayers to support a country with >45 million people, it is evident that things will go south like every other african country, where self enrichment comes first. Individual tax rates are amongst the worlds highest. They will tax us more to get what they want. The looming extra 1% of individual tax to fund the cash trapped SABC/Public service broadcast is a classic example. How many billions have we wasted on SAA bailouts? How much have been wasted on MP cars in 2009? Zuma's new cabinet already cost us more than R1bn a year. Are things significantly better post-mbeki that they deserve so much more?? Another example is Eskoms Ex-CEO claiming R85m in remuneration and incentive. Has he performed miracles to justify that amount of money?? Let them have their way (and day)...They day will come when they can't blame colonialism/apartheid etc and man-up to the f*ckups they've made. Lets piss taxpayers money down the drain at the expense of more important matters. SAPS could have used the money better within their organization.
  11. what makes them better than thule, apart from price?
  12. I also looked for Bosal racks. They had an advert in Dec09 Weg for R2.2k incl delivery (2bike). Mailed them twice, no response received. Oh well, you advertise a product with no sales support you actually not really interested in doing business, i bought a thule rather.
  13. another bikes pedal whilst on your bike rack?? sure seems mysterious..
  14. think i must rather do the kormorant race on the saturday...reckon its better training for argus..
  15. @ Fester: Got it from Cyclabs online entry page..instead on taking N17 to Carnival City, you continue over N17 higway and then later hook a left on the R554. Think the roadworks on the N12 will create too much problems. Traffic is going to be a nightmare on the way back..
  16. Looks like they have changed the route again. Instead of out&back on N12 Witbank highway, its now on N17 then right on heidelberg road..
  17. Trevor, your mudslinging efforts isn't going to do you any favours to change the image you have so nicely painted of the cradle residents. The matter of importance here is the law and what the law permits each party using public roads. The law exists to create order. Read up on what it dictates to ALL road users (Agteros has posted an extract). Then maybe your cradle meeting will be worthwhile and a practical solution to benefit all will be found.
  18. Careful King of Kings...you first need the victory.. Your attitude won?t get you far in life. Word of advice since you?re still very young. To be a team player and a well rounded individual you need to be able to take criticism when it is considerately given. More importantly, you need to take it when it is not given considerately. Remember this in your personal/business dealings in the future. I really wish you good luck with your goal and may everything work out like you planned on race day. Please give us your name so that we at least know for whom to look out for?
  19. ever bonked on the Parys Roubaix (cratercruise)? It was 34 degrees in the shade and there was no shade..no flippen trees in the freestates..i could hardly peddle in my granny gear on the flat just after the railway crossing close to the finish..
  20. You won't get over it being hit at +200km/h by a biker who tried to skeem 20cm past you, because you will be DEAD. The question is will your loved ones left behind get over it? I recall from a previous cradle thread on the hub where a biker came of his bike and crashed into a fence. Luckiliy he hit no one else. He didn't survive to tell about it. But as Maccelari said its cars too. Cyclists should not be the only ones to be blamed by cradle residents.
  21. Slightly off topic, read Donovan Fourie's article in the Jan09 BikeSA (the one with Honda VT cruiser on) of his review on 2 PGO scooters..somewhere he loses the plot and goes on about the effect of the 94.7 road closure etc. and how stupid cyclists/cycling are. I recall a sentence in the article "the road belongs to the bikers"..He's done a lot of damage to the bikers image with his article. Having said that I still have a lot of respect & gratitude for the thinkbike bikers marshalling/helping out at clubrides/races. There are bikers out there behaving themselves but I have encountered a lot of lunatics out there endangering the lives of other road users..
  22. what if you changed clubs? Where do you change it during the process?
  23. Sorry CW I meant to ask the Weight Limit on the wheelset..Are they below 100kg i.e not suitable for vrystater boertjie with two tanned arms (uno driver)?
