You don't necessarily need to remove it after every ride. Clean it normally and then take it off to do a thorough clean every two weeks or so.

Take the front wheel off' date=' open the rear door of your car. Put the bicycle in by riding it upside down on its back wheel onto the back seat. Close the door. Drive it to yur lbs for a service. After the service the casette should be clean.Big%20smile[/quote']

If I have to service my bike after every ride I will be a poor man.Cry Besides, it takes longer to get my bike to the shop than to clean it.

oh, ja I forgot, not everybody lives two minutes by car from their LBS. I'm not the clean the bike every week, every month type. Unless its seriously dirty or covered with sand after rain or so, I wait for a service to come along.

My LBS is less than 5 min away. That's 10 minutes there and back. 20 including collection plus another say 10 each time at the shop. 40 minutes in total. You can do a minor service on a bike in that time for less than 10ZAR.Big%20smile

Why do they not sell brushes in a kit specifically for bikes. Cyclelab has a cleaning kit but it excluded brushes.

Go to Makro and check out their car cleaning brushes. They have this nice stiff paint brush type thing for cleaning mag wheels and some other soft stuff at a fraction of the price.
