To HR and MTB, thanks for organising. To everyone else, thanks for

being hubbers. I had a great ride and time. WW, you did do your

planting gracefully, but I must say that the fall of the day goes to

Rad006.

Eish, how do I explain this.... picture riding along a track, 1 - 1.5m

wide with trees on both sides. Rad comes across this branch that is

hanging dead in our path. He grabs the branch and holds it while riding

past. ( now remember that if he lets it go, it's going to slap someone

clean of their bike behind him) While holding on to the branch,

travelling forward, he says " if I let go this Braaaaannccchhh...." He had come to the end of the branch's travel and this tree was having none of it, it wanted it's arm back. Rad's bike slowed down, then stopped and then he got dragged back to under the tree, body first with his bike trailing with him, still cleated in. Rad, your a gentleman for not letting go at all costs.

Once a month sounds like a great Idea. Might not make them all, but will make most.

pb, thanks to your wife for organising the security guard. was chuffed with considering my car ended up looking like a workshop. she did really well, but there were times on the ride i thought she looked like she wanted to punch you.

there was only that one eensy-weensy little techinical bit. ok, and the old railway is a bit bumpy?

What's the story with the railway? Abandoned and then raped or unused because of the track theft?

that's pretty much it. there is another functional line a bit further north. we would have crossed it, but the barloworld smurf told me that it was hard to get to because of huge ditches having been dug there. that's why we doubled back (the little suburban detourEmbarrassed) on the route.

i reckon we'll mix it up more next time, and explore some of the drops out there. there are options to ride around some of the more technical stuff.

Which one? Stripped and abandoned or abandoned and then stripped. Very surprised that the guys have left all that cable lying around.

I look forward to seeing you go down the side of that one bridge. Did the CO2 get to you?LOL
