In the one british mag they had a look at lightweight MTB products. The carbon skewers snapped during a ride. The stem bolts ripped out of the magnesium stem during a ride. Ti pedal axle bend. All of these were brand names. So unless you are a lightweight girl that rides her bike in a vacuum, stay away from it.

LOL Mampara you are right. I used a KCNC SC Wing on my NRS1 bout a year ago and the clamps on the steerer snapped off. Wont touch KCNC again.

You do realise you gotta tighten the bolts up firstLOL

Mampara do you think the same goes for the road stuff?

It will take less wear and tear than on an MTB, that said weight restrictions are there for a reason.

Yip. Especially if you are a sprinter and tuck on the bars. It is not comfortable on a long ride if your seatpost bolts snap or head breaks either.

Keith, like I said, go for PRO PLT. It's what pros like Oscar Freira and Thor Horshovd used untill the beginning of this year. You should be able to get a full set, stem, bar and seatpost, for about R1400. Available in silver or black.
