Dickie Posted September 22, 2008 Share My goodness! What a day. It was like riding a harder gear all the time with the mud. It gives you some perspective on how good Burry and the boys are...we had a 66km start and they came in before the majority of the 45km race. The markings were not great, I think most people got lost at some stage, and when the going is that tough the last thing you want is extra kays!Anyway the course must be great when dry! downhilldemon Posted September 22, 2008 Share there were a few km of mud in the first 25km that took over an hour to carry the bike through. not fun. had problems shifting and getting the cleats in after that. would love to ride it when dry. does anyone know if its standard practise to calculate your overall time from when the first group goes off even if your group only starts 20 min later? not sure how fair this is.
