  1. If you need to ask a Garmin is probably not right for you.
  2. I hope they have good lawyers. Lance in notorious for his acute sense of humour failures.
  3. Kleinplasie - you can get the number in the book. It is owned by a guy who has done a few Epics, and the accomodation is really good. It is also close to the start/finish.
  4. I think that if the Commissaires look closely, they might notice something.
  5. I know the one victim and this is a terrible tragedy. What makes it even worse is that it comes a few months after another lady was killed going for a run early morning also near Oudtshoorn. My condolences to the victims and their loved ones. We will be keeping a close watch on the investigation and the prosecution.
  6. It is a good quality fork that is value for money. Had mine for a year and a bit and never had any prolems. I have since upgraded mine, for a Reba, but I can't fault the Recon.
  7. The judge president - when he ruled that the crime of adultery has no more place in our law - gave the famous quote "die misdaad, anders as die daad, het in onbruik verval"
  8. I read on the net yesterday he was quoted as saying that he would not play matchplay because he prefers threesomes to fourballs and pairs.
  9. Speaking from a legal point of view, I believe organizers of races should put in a clause with their indemnities in the form of a statement - that the rider declares that he has not used any performance enhancing or other banned substance. That way - when riders do get caught using these substances - I could make a pretty compelling case to prosecute them for fraud in a criminal court. That will definitely make a rider think twice before using banned substances if he can get banned for a few years, and get a criminal record. Sport at the professional level is no longer a sport - it is a profession. It is a job like any other. If a professional person is caught doing something unethical or illegal he will most likely be disbarred, struck from the roll, or otherwise be prohibited from doing this profession, and charged criminally. I see no reason for professional sportsmen to be treated any different.
  10. There are a lot of theories with regard to deterrance of punishment in the criminal justice system. What I know for a fact is that if you hang someone for murder that particular person sure won't murder again...
  11. Thank you for making me do this over and over and over again. Finished it though.
  12. You should try Boeshield that Bicicletta distribute. The stuff really works. If it is good enough for aircraft - it is good enough for my Mtb. http://www.bicicletta.co.za/category_boeshield.htm
  13. You were outscooped by the best - https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=69883Serendipity2009-12-10 07:42:33
  14. Those pictures are of Harkerville Red Route. Definitely worth the drive. It is between Knysna and Plet on the N2. Bring the Mtb and you can do the race next weekend - Rock Pedal Classic - from George to Louvain and back ober two days.
