Also I might be corrected but for example on the N95 the phone must be kept slide open to use the GPS.

The GPS antenna on the N95 sits behind the keyboard, so you increase the signal strength by sliding the keyboard open. I used Sportstracker 2 weeks ago doing my first MTB funride on my two day old bike.I had the keyboard slid shut and it worked well in one of my shirts back pockets.

The best part is however being able to download (or email from the phone) the .kml file for overlaying in Google Earth.

Downloaded it the weekend and tried it it yesterday, works well. More easier to store (just pop into back pocket) and has a lot of the funtionality of the garmin except for HR (which can be manually added) and cadence. Battery life was also good.

I had a prehistoric version of SportsTracker on my N95. With the later versions it can actually use the 'motion sensor' as a pedometer.

For fun I activated it the past weekend during the Northern Farm race as a shake-o-meter, and it reckons it took me 12759 shakes to complete the route...

Agteros: Kan u pm me I want the  file of the route for Sunday.

Anyone who wants to do the external gps thing let me know I have one lying around. Messy with two units but will get you going on Sportstracker. Nokia has some cool stuff, try the Ovi site as well.

Thx to everyone who are sharing their rides on sportstracker. There are some excellent routes on there.

I've been working on a map that can be used for cycling / mountain biking.
