Think pedals should come with BIG LUMINOUS stickers on them, telling people bout putting them on. Obviously the little arrows on some of them are not enough. Mint Sauce and me witnessed a dude destroy never riden XTR cranks at Knysna.....before the race....

Try Linden Cycles..Iam sure they retreaded a crank for someone I know... Maybe they can help  you...

Ta.  I'm collecting (another) bike from there during the week anyway.

An MTB this time.  Had to have the middle blade replaced after someone tested it's strength against a curb whilst practising a bunny hop - the fun never ends Big%20smile

(Hog and Holly - "The Fisher" is available again if you need a spare for the mine dumps - I might join you one day.  The pics of the group ride on the other thread look great.)

Clyclenut I have a Sugino Tandem crankset that I purchased. With it came an extra crank with a steel insert in the crank thread. Apparently it stripped. They had a new larger thred cut and the steel insert with the correct thred inserted. I know that this is on the left hand bit thread of the crank but if all else fails you can have this done. First try using the el cheapo idea of Dirt Rider by purchasing a set of Makro Cranck and using the axles as "thread cutters" I do that often to chase damaged threads (especially in softer metals or alloys) You can also cut two narrow slots on opposite sides with an angle grinder along the side of the thread ie the slot is now at a 90 deg angle to the thread (the same as a thread cutter) to collect any shavings from your thread chasing. Cut these slots with the thinnest angle crinder blade you can find. Also thread them in form the frame side of the hole as JB suggested.

H- those Sugino's strip all the time. Fortunately we have a great little engineering works in Pinetown who can rethread the left hand threads for us
