Routes around Sun City

I'm spending most of next week at Sun City for a conference and was wondering if anyone can recommend some good road riding routes around there, or else any that I should specifically avoid.

Hi Ed - I found the road to Rustenburg particularly hair-raising a couple of yrs back (when I had hair to raise), everything was either very large or very fast or both on a relatively narrow road -  I'd avoid that one (& the roads in the Pillanesburg).

I would avoid the Lost City route during the week, even early in the mornings. There is a LOT of heavy vehicle traffic on the Thabazimbi road section during the week. I would go out of Sun City, turn left and keep straight to the 4 way Stop where the Lost City route (70 and 103 km) splits and join up again. Turn around there and go back to Sun City. Nice 40km route, depending on how hard you go out, it can be a very good workout, especialy if the wind is blowing (as it is now). Road is fairly quiet and road surface is good and has a wide shoulder.
