A huge thank you to all of the guys who made me feel so welcome at the kermesse yesterday!  You guys are seriously impressive.  One day when I'm big I might be able to keep up with you LOL

Turtlek, it was great to finally meet you.  After reading about all your cycling exploits on The Hub it's good to be able to put a face to the name.  Hope to see you at the 94.7 ... on your second lap, perhaps?

To Peter, Thierry (sp) and everyone else who was there:  thanks for everything.  I'm definitely going to be back to defend my title Wink!!

will defintely keep a look out for you on my second lap msbehavn

the kermesse was small yesterday but i loved it almost crashed into msbehavn because of lack of oxygen to the eyes and brain causing a little bit of hallucination smiley36.gif but all of us had fun

and now that yyou have a bucket of our secret make yourself faster juice msbehavn you should not have any issues keeping up with us next time

thanks to the organisers peter, thierry, gillian and mark and thanks to all the supporters that were there

The race was fought out betwween 11 riders of which one was a lady (msbehavn) after a short couple of warm up laps the race went under way with the first lap being a neutral lap (decided by thierry) then it was down to business i attacked on the straight into the finish area and thierry Darrly Fox and another guy from velo cyling club got away setting the relentless pace from the begining i though i had a chance of riding away if my cornering went well but i misjudged a corner into the straight and lost a few bike lengths to the other three seeing as it was into a block headwind i tried my best to stay withion reach of them but just didnt have the legs so decided consistency would be the major draw card

got caught by another two guys carl richardson and bryce hennesy but as we started catching up to the other three carl started taking strain eventually up in the front foxy attacked and bridged the gap all the way to the three of us where darryl and i shared the workload to get to the other two now lying in second and third

in order to keep the [ace high darrly and i worked well together with darly doing monster turns up in front all while looking cool calm and collected (me on the other hand looking shattered) we then caught up to the other two guys and they decided to play a good game of cat and mouse deciding not to come to the front at all

when the whistle was blown for darrly's last lap i told him he can peel off and make it a parade lap and as he did that i put the pace up again trying to split the bunch but to no avail on the whistle for our final lap Thierry threw down the gauntlet of an attack that left me cramping trying to get back to his wheel i then told bryce to go get him and the other dude followed bryce i watched thierry finish in a well deserved second place and the dude from velo finish in third bryce and myself finishing fourth and fifth respectively

the ladies race was held over 20 minutes plus a lap and because all the other ladies were scared of msbehavn she literally ran away with the race from begining to the end

all in all it was great fun and hope to see more hubbers in the future

Thumbs%20Up Great report, turtlek.  It's good to hear what's going on in the group and what the tactics were.

I definitely think that the ER kermesse should be supported by more cyclists.  It's a great venue with good road surfaces (even though it gets damn hot out there!) and is very well organised.

Trust me - if I can brave it then everyone can! Big%20smile
