Bontrager Seat Clamp Quick Release

Anyone had any experience with a Bonty QR lever bending? I tightened mine using one bare hand and bent the thing nearly double last night. Two months old and has taken no knocks that could have weakened it to date.

 

Can anyone suggest what to replace it with, or perhaps whether these would be under guarantee? It's on a two month old TREK.

Stop messing with QR seatclamps. Get a bolt one and never worry about it again.

Take it back to the bike shop, I'm sure they will replace it with the same or better (I would insist on a bolt on one, the QR is for schoolgirls)

I like to drop my  seat for downhill / all mountain sessions / playing / jumping so I would prefer not to replace it with a bolt.

i have had problems with the bontrager QR on the wheels it has become one of my nightmares while racing to stop and tighten the Qr repeatedly because they just loosen themselves Pm big guy g he will be able to help you out with proper advice in this aspect

Geez, knowing that your rims QR come loose at any second is a bit of a mindf$%&

Anyone got any thoughts on replacing it with a KCNC machined seat quick release? R190.00 at my LBS.

yea i know thats why i changed them and i am now using velomax skewers till mine get sorted out
