STI modifications

Can anyone help?? I want to know if it is possible to use or modify a triple crank STI to be used with a double crank?

just set you F derailleur retension screw for it not to shift the chain of the big blade on the 3rd shifter index.

yip, only use the first two shifts.  I don't know why Shimano just don't make it standard. If youdon't want to use it, don't but if you want to, you can.

Thanks guys - that should work as the double shift is also between the first two shifts.
