drinking cyclists

Was taking a group of cyclists down to the amashova this weekend and came across a group of cyclists ,'dads for charity',this group was a absolute disgrace ,hanging onto cars and trialers ,riding all over the road and drinking tequella at every stop during the day.I find this action not only irresponsible buy extremely dangerous as i know from my biking days you have a lot more courage going down hills and taking sharp corners drunk than you would normaly,i find there behavour totally unacceptable.

I agree.It is against the law to drink or drive doesn't matter if it is a bicycling, rollerblading, motorcars are bikes.These cyclist could easyly cause an accident.

Chucky, why didn't you raise your concerns with the ride organiser at the time.

 

Raising the issue on the forum after the fact is somewhat pointless. The damage has been done, by the time the transgressions can be rectified all will be forgotten.

i did raise the issue with one or two of the riders i knew and was shrugged off

You would've got the bird, got told to f off and most probably had your keys taken. Isn't that the norm with cyclists these days?
