jpb13 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 hi all.. now that we've sorted out the clincher/tubbie question, i have a new one. easton or zipp. my bike shop says easton is the way to go, i'm still open tho. other suggestions for wheels welcome!! jpb132008-10-21 11:37:04
intern Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Zipp 303 or 404 tubbie. Weighs nothing, stiffer than a Beaufort 12.
swift Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Corima is well worth considering... Hand made from start to finish, by a company that makes specialist parts for Airbus as well. Great quality, strength and performance. PM me if you need more info... there is loads.
carlo_sg Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 If you're going for clinchers, get the Mavic Cosmic Carbones.Yes, they heavier etc, etc. But they tougher than a german barmaid working for tips in a biker pub.Seriously, maintenace free, and with the state of our roads, you going to need something that can hit a pothole faster than 10km/h without pulling a spoke out of the rim...Nevermind the tools they come with, so you can even do minor work yourself. Seriously - Great wheels!
