Adapter for LX shifters? *Sorted, bought new ones*

Does anyone know if there is an adapter to fit 2005 LX shifters onto the bars? They are mounted to the levers ATM, and I'm wanting to upgrade to discs.

That is why you never buy integrated levers!<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

A long time ago (early 90s) there was adapters available but I have not seen any of those in a long time.

 

So the short answer is to sell the integrated levers and replace them with shifter pods. 

 

The long answer is that, if you can dismantle them you should be able to have brackets made but it would most probably be more expensive.

They came with the bike... and the bike cost next to nothing for what it was. Hey ho. Found some SRAM shifter pods, so just gonna go with those, thanks for the responses though

they are not gonna work if you are not using atleast a Sram (note spelling) rear derailleur.
