Just thinking. A have an old but still very good condition Giant Yukon leisure MTB.

 

Will this make a good single speed (I am not hardcore enough for fixies) and what is the estimated costs to convert

toss the casette, get a cog and spacers. your don't have to change the crank to start; use the one you have, and get rid of some chainrings (i used an old 105. the chain tensioner is very important. bars? nope. use the ones you have.
