Ok so here is the deal. I have a GPS and I import the data onto my computer in GPX format after a ride so that I can see where I went and what the route profile looks like. This is all done by the Garmin Mapsource software.

How do I EASILY calculate a cumulative altitude gain on the. I can faff around and export into excel but that is painful.

anyone got any other idea on how to tackle this one?

Training Center uses .tcx files which is different from mapsource as far as I know.

True, and .hst & .crs where mapsource are raw gpx files. I might be wrong.
