Psst guys - I am trying my utmost best to convince the man that the shoes will make a difference' date=' to get him back on the fricckin bike. Dont tell him it wont work....

As for this morn, it was the first day that the mercury dropped to 9degr.brrrr

Tmrw morning we are going out at 5:00, and I will then join the short loop after that ride.

(To check out Slave's shoes, and to be witness to Ox getting a good hiding up the steps)[img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley4.gif[/img]

Trubie best you tell your 5am riding mates that they should put lights on their bikes. I went past one guy today who was but a shadow in the dark street, he must have a death wish.

They are all extremely responsible, and look like mobile robots, so it wasnt us/them.

Maybe the oke you saw had a battery failure

Tomorrow is Saturday dude, you can stay in bed later (have you found out what BM weather means yet ? smiley2.gif)

No rest for the wicked, besides its wintersport time for the kids, so I need to ride as early as possible to be on my post next to the fields/courts on time

BMW - Yes I know, bloody mean wind

Slave is only going to fetch his new shoes on Saturday morning after his last cycle with toe clips so you'll have to come and ride on Sunday to see Slave powered by Specialized.

Always excuses.........

I think OX has been doing secret training and this weekend his flying solo so be warned.

IDT hurt his legs, so he'll be an easy pushover tmrw.

The steps should be an intersting showdown tomorrow. Ox with sore legs from his IDT and me from my TT.

BTW, I think Narco must have drowned in that bottle of his and Shiny small cow has also become somewhat scarce around these parts lately.

I think they all terrified of Trubie and Kid.

Hey dudes, if you are still following this thread, stop being lazy and come and joing the ride gang. Stop beingsuch sissies. Yeah, we know it's cold and if you like, I can organise some winter gear for you.

Buncha softies / scaredy cats.

Hmm I see my training has been so secret I do not even have a log of it... This is what I have been doing since 22 Apr (voting day):

Sun' date=' 26: MTB: 48.9km @ Northern Farm - chain broke - total stoppages of +-/1:05 included in total time of 3:43:15

Mon, 27: MTB: 32.8km @ Northern Farm @ 18.7km/h (was not trying to 'race')

Wed, 29: Running: 2km warmup, 6xhills (~280m, 10m climb), jog back down to start as 'recovery'.

Times were:

1 = 01:04.8

2 = 00:58.5

3 = 00:59.0

4 = 01:01.1

5 = 01:04.9

6 = 00:53.9

Mon, 4: Running: 2km warmup, step ups/downs

0400m : 01:17.1 & 2 mins recovery

0800m : 03:24.9 & 3 mins recovery

1200m : 05:50.9 & 4 mins recovery

0800m : 03:30.1 & 3 mins recovery

0400m : 01:23.3 & GOING HOME!!!

Thu, 7: IDT : 27min @ 21:30 the evening(just getting into things - easy spin initially - VMs(inner quads) started to burn towards end):

cadence avg: ~86,

power avg: ~220W

So NOO! Not a lot of training, and definately not secret anymore [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley1.gif[/img]

Hey Ox, if you can change the 220 watts to 220 volts, you can power your house for half an hour. smiley4.gif

Hmmm, new idea for a generator?

With 3 computers running 24x7 at 100% CPU utilisation, and ... and ... and ... I'll need something generating at least 1KwH 24x7 smiley3.gif
