I think it was about 2 weeks Looking at the Order on AliExpress now, the order was placed on the 13th and seems that it was closed on the 25th.

The last time I bought from AliExpress was a helmet which was around R550 and the custom / delivery fees were R187.00 I think that if it had come via the post office they would have charged me VAT (R82.50) and a handing fee (R73.00) which would be approximately R156 A bit more but it got delivered to me and it was a much better and quicker experience than dealing with the PO.

AliExpress have moved away from the Post Office. My 2 or 3 previous orders from AliE have been delivered vis a courier to my door. The catch is that there's a fee to pay

My previous order was delivered by CN Express but when they came to deliver it was the same guy from Fastway. I've never had an issue with an order from Temu, they've always arrived and normally before the delivery day.

I just buy the cheapest ones, normally around R170 and I've done many miles in them, even managed a 2:47 at Ride Joburg this year 😉

They used to be really good, would receive a quote within a few hours of dropping off the unit/s. Now they on a permanent go slow. They do eventually send the quote. Just have to be patient I suppose.

They must really like you if you only waiting 2-4 business days. I dropped off 2 faulty Garmins on the 18th Nov and I'm still waiting for quotes (almost 2 weeks)

Anyone know how what's Garmin's turn around time for a quote these days ?

Maybe you really fit and your HR is lower than you expect ? Are you able to test with a different HR monitor ?

Unfortunately you asking too much of them. To keep your streak you'll have to do a little training in order to meet your goal. 3 or 4hs of training should get you to your goal, so you can have 3 or 4 days completely off. Good luck with your 70.3 !!!

and here I thought I was the only 1 going through HR monitors like there's no tomorrow. Been through a number of Garmin monitors, some other no name brands busy killing a POLAR H10. Absolutely hate the tiny screws on the Garmin HR monitors which seem to only be good to use once. I see the Garmin Dual has tiny torque screws on it, hopefully these are better. Can't even recommend a specific HR monitor because they all seem to die. Would rate the POLAR H9 or H10 better than the Garmin ones though, never tried a Wahoo. Magene seem to make decent stuff for a good price. Look for one that does Bluetooth & Ant+ that would be my advise

I flew back from Europe last year with an empty bike bag. The bike bag was the type that's just cloth so it can fold into about half of it's size. Put tape around it and that was it. When checking it in they did request that I take to the oversized luggage section but it arrived in SA without any problems. In SA it was put on the conveyer belts with the other suitcases.

The lost 1 of my packages for a few days but then found it and delivered it. If you have a valid tracking / waybill number then they should be able to track it.

The Edge 830 (and probably the 530) have proper batteries on them, never taken mine to 0% but they last much longer than any other previous Edge. Since yours isn't charging properly and you doing an "upgrade" via Garmin then it makes sense to pay the extra $$$ and get the 840.
