HeHeHe What a ride today. How did you all do in this wind?

SBR was tough today in this wind and we had quite a couple of people in trouble today.

Fun Fun and some more FUN.

I rode from home did the long loop and then home. (100 km total with 60km in SBR)

I ended doing about 40km into this wind in and out of SBR on the way home.

Nance I would so love to come in the morning but eneded with just over 4 hours in the saddle today.

I will see if I can quickly do a minor service on the MTB tonight and then decide from there.

I recon the ol legs should still have another three or four hours in them for this weekend.

Ya was on my "ace" as well for the ride.

Was hoping to catch up to a couple of riders to get some rest in the wind but everyone I was passing were in serious trouble and trying to stay alive.

Nearly felt sorry for them smiley2.gif

Ha ha ha! I was felling sorry for myself smiley2.gif Everyone I saw on the road today was also pretty banged up after I was dropped with the flat tyre. Wasn't in the mood for sitting at 12km/h up the steps with them

My Wife was quite concerned when I gave her a call as I left SBR.

She has been around for a while and knew the direction of the wind and thus knew I had a tough 20 klicks back home.

She met me 10 klicks out on the road and it took all of me not to get into the car at that time.

Anyway, she had the recovery / food / towel ready for me when I got home and I walked straight to the pool with recovery in hand.

Awesome

Nah just a great team. In IM this year she gave me all my splits versus last year and she made sure to tell me where to slow down and what to do next. If it was not for her looking after me and partner in Epic I surely would have faded. She is core to my cycling and critical in the team.

I actually recon she has me well trained and all smiley2.gif

Yah we have to meet up some time to do some riding

Thinking about the hub ride with Nance in the morning.

But will see.

Otherwise I might do Xumbucs in the morning

Still long evening to do some thinking smiley36.gif

smiley3.gifsmiley3.gif Dude... this is a no brainer.

You had a tough one today at SBR' date=' so what better way to end your weekend than a social ride (where you still get 60-70kays off road).

Great company, fantastic scenery, tough climb, great company... did I mention the company and scenery would be out of this world? [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley4.gif[/img]

Xumbugs just wouldn't compare and you'll end up pushing yourself much harder than you should.

See you at 6ish? smiley2.gif

Well, I had a great weekend of riding! Saturday the guys went looney on the back road to the bridge.

Sunday, went long with the big guys...was a great hard ride. Sorry Kieran, thought the pace would be easier than it was! The guys set a mean pace up the hill after the short/long split.

We gonna ride during the week?

Hey Owl. No pace was fine smiley20.gif Just before the hill though changed to my small chain ring and through the chain off, which then got a bit jammed smiley6.gif Eventually got it loose and played catch up. Caught up with Francois and his group by which stage I was pretty buggered ha ha but managed to ride through with them! Clocked 92kms this morning smiley20.gif

GO I'm riding with SteelyDan tomorrow morning. Leaving at 7:00 from Houghton. Going to do a 65km route and finish up Munro Drive if you keen smiley4.gif
