Good to see some friends again (Nance, Slave and backwards ox) and meet some new 'ubbers, them roadies are OK ;) and they not scared of the weather that's for sure :o

@Slave - hope the tube fixing has taken too much time out of your 3 day recovery sleep :(

@Nance - always a pleasure to spend time in your company :D - glad to hear that my 5am efforts were not in vain  - I guess next time it would not be too 'forward' to give a hug

Congrats on your race Trubie! Great work!

I may be back there fairly soon! I even brought a little gift with me from the North to show my appreciation. :D

So who gives the permission to ride there again, the Queen? Queen Nancy, may I please ride in the South again? ;)

What a nice ride today, nice to see all of you again.

Andy welcome to the south, nice of you to FINALLY join us for a ride in our back yard.

Thanks!

I'll be back! (In Arnold voice)

My little recovery nap obviously wasn't long enough. :( My legs are so hammered today that I had to take a little red ambulance to the top of Butchers just to make it to work alive.

The 16 odd km took me 42 minutes of pain and suffering. Going up Rissik was a mare.. And that wind. Hope it stays in the same direction because then at least it will help going up the Parktown ridge and then it's a nice long downhill all the way "home" with the odd little speedbump here and there. :)

Think I will spend an hour or so extra in the office before heading south. No rush to get back to Alberton today.

Nance, that little ploy of yours to slow us down a bit for lap two was wicked. Are you sure you're the queen or are you the wicked witch of the North?

Slave, it was good training for you. Another few times and you will be much stronger. Same thing this coming weekend? :D

You want to do a "kyk weer?" (read as replay) of yesterday? Next weekend? Can I ride slower? Ormaybe we can do the longer southern loop and you can buy me brekkie at the Circus. I think its about an 80 to 90 km Loop incorperating our stair case and one or two other little inclines. :)

When I get a bit stronger, I'll plan a nice little tour de South especially for you and your desire to climb. I can add in a few nice little hills for you and then drive the recovery vehicle, while you ride. ;)

There's still life in them legs of his

For today, yes. I am taking a very easy (if that's possoble going over Munroe Drive) ride home this afternoon. Will take a nice easy ride tomorrow morning and same tomorrow afternoon. If they don't fall off before then.

The only thing that makes me believe there is any life in them at all is because they are letting me know they have been abused. Thans largely to you, your boet and the first lap yesterday. :(

It might have hurt a lot, but it was still a good ride. Thanks big man. I think I will long remember that ride. :P (and the resultant pain.)

Comaro, Pieter Ackroyd, Bellairs and butchers should be OK

I was thinking of doing that same loop at 5am but then doing a different second loop. Kid has told me about a loop of about 60km. And we don't have to go as fast as we did. Maybe we can persuade Nance to ride again (BigS, do your trick! :P ) Just please get some new tyres (a different model might also be something to think about  )
