:cursing: Ox. You sound like the frikking Gestapo here. If we have a later start than any of the other teams, there will always be a team to chase down. I know you like supposed to have a gap between teams of like 50 meteres or some junk, but like what does the rule say of sitting behind them for a very short rest period while regrouping to overtake.

'sides, this is a team event. 100 divided by 12 is 8.3. so if we all share the workload correctly, we'll all get the same exposure to the front. Just some of us are bit slower so you'll like all have to ride at my pace. :D so in effect, if we ride as a team, we get say 17 km exposure to the front. I can maybe live with that. Can I do my turn going up the Robinson Pass? Or maybe down.

EDIT: You racing snakes (Andy, Kid Trubie, Dom, Kieran). You're all going to be sorry you made a slowpoke old fart like me a team member. :P

Oh and since it's a team event, I think we need to make a concerted effort to cross the line at zachery the same time. Do we get pionts for that. Or do we have a breakaway and a tail, the top six okes go mal and the rest off us just follow at our best pace. Cause if I geton the start line, you better believe that if I am alive, I will cross the fininsh line. I may be attached to a crash cart, drip and possibly some other medical paraphenalia, but I will be on the bike and I will cross that line.

I'm not the team captain, or vice captain, or anything else of big importance in the team. I am just one of the team and giving it my all to live up to the rather high expectations of me. :o Seriously this is pressure.

So, I got off my now skinny lazy butt this AM and commuted. Those first couple of KM hurt big time. Once the legs lossened up though, it was a great ride in the end. Just a bit concerned about the pins and needles I got in my hands after climb up Joe Slovo.

So like what special training are we doing this weekend to kick off for the DC?

Have a lekker day all.

Seems I have not made the cut either :(

After your performance at the 24 MTB event, I think you should be team captain.

The question is if you would be willing to ride with us slower guys (obviously I'm speaking for myself) ?

Well I have the Hub Christmas Ride Saturday and then will probably do road somewhere on Sunday.

TDS (tour de South)?

Oh, and I will also pitch in my vote with the blue kid. Big M and Trubie for captain and vice captain positions. Not necessarily in that order. We need to do ths democratically and in the NEW SA, just like in normal politics, (And FIFA voting) my vote is up for sale to the highest bidder.

Big M

I think Slave has been indulging in the Vitamin S again & again.

No wonder he got pins & needles.

Seriously Big S well done on your 22 err 23 laps this weekend, huge respect

But you do realize that if you had stuck to your target of 1 lap per hour you would have won the event ?
