Slave Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Once again I managed to miss the rain on the daily commute, but the roads were very wet so it was a slow commute and I still got wet. AMA-Zing how much water those skinny tyres can throw up at one.

Also know a certain roadie who says that he loves riding in the rain but let there be a dark cloud in the sky and he'll hide the sheets.Ok, he's from the north so he's probably SOFT !!!! Weatherman says Saturday & Sunday are DRY !!!! :clap:
Trubie Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Had a wet ride, went out late at 5:30 for as spin drill session - recovery ride type thinghy of 62 mins.Managed to get a nice small piece of glass right through my tyre as I passed over the river bridge coming back from Lido. So had an interesting ride.........

So had an interesting ride......... H3ll's bells. Even the glass is tough in the South. Hope the tyre is not too badly damaged. Right now it is chucking down at Melrose. Raining very hard. I am not looking forward to the comute home today. I think I am going to get really wet, really cold and pretty miserable. And that also means more chain maint again this weekend to get all the gunk out.

So Tue and Thu I must 'work from home' :clap: Traffic stress drastically reduced! *and more training time*

Is this part of the new idea of companies saving resources and a commitment to a greener world? (Now where is that "like" button?) So my anticipated "wet ride" home yesterday was in brilliant sunshine. And the commute this morning started out in sunshine and ended up in a heavy pog fatch over the northern suburbs of JHB. Other than the usual safety concerns, though, it was perfect weather for cycling. Nice and cool again. Have a great day all.

My fitness is still way down.
