Hey S@B, yeah it was rather neat meting you too. First time I have seen a single speed MTB.

I saw Ha-Ha Kieran on my way home and told him you're looking for a catalogue. Still suggest you send him a PM though.

The link doesn't specify time or venue. :( Although I would enjoy being a spectator, I have some studying to do and might not be able to make it.

@Kid. What crappy ideas dude? I learned all these crappy ideas from the master. (a blue child.)

@ Mav. You're welcome. On this thread we consider it good ettiquette for you to find out who we are and introduce yourself.

Trubie is the (Not so) fatty on the Pinarello FP6. Kid will be the pint sized dude on a different bike every time you see him. In close company with him is usually Hummingbird (Kids offspring). You might be lucky enough to see me there sometimes. I ride a Trek SLR and mostly in Panda Kit. Tall skinny dude.

JUst be careful of them, they are racing snakes. Even if kid denies this, it's just a ruse. I am the slow old fart.

Well i started road bike about 2 months ago.and well u cannot stop.just trying to get a program together.still learning alot.

Anyone joining me for R42/Suikerbos MTB tmrw in Nigel??

Not me... legs are toast after the humbering this afternoon. Either resting or riding support on the RAC 'loooong run'

Happiness. The 29er went for its maiden off road ride today. R42 MTB, great day out. Really happy with the decision and I can for the first time ride the technical stuff with some degree of confidence. With all the serious riders at the Epic, the field was possibly a bit depleted of quality. However, on the day managed a 12th spot (5th vet) with a 28.4 ave for the 35k's. Now I better get my ass in gear for Panorama in 4 weeks :)

Impressive ride there Turbie.

So Oxman, tell us a little more about your excursion which caused your egs to take a "humbering". I have to assume my directions were good and you found your new cycling gear that you needed on Saturday. Good thing it was Sat and not yesterday.

We had not one, but two almighty storms in the city centre.

hmm yeah.... Got the overall thanks mate. Anyhow, the idea was to do one lap on the humber, but then one lap turned out to be half of the race! After that one lap I was NOT dead last (amazingly!), although I had to walk and push at quite a few places. Finished my one lap of 16km in around 1H10 (?) being completely bushed. Lets try that again:
