So when are we going to do an 'easy' 40km ...? Coz I know of somebody who could get a road bike this weekend and who'll need a gentle introduction to the 'light' side smiley2.gif

Are we going 'helter-skelter' on 9 May? smiley4.gif

I'm going light 'n easy on Saturday. Doing the shortloop fast n' furious Friday, and hard again Sunday.

You're welcome to join and bring your friend for the easy ride.

The South will never have a light side - unfortunately. Not with the type of characters that loom on this thread

With Indigo Kid and Nuwbie (Yes, U!!) to race those away the souff should be perfectly fine to get somebody who thinks that road cycling is boring & lonely (This one did the Hyper2Hyper all alone on an MTB in 4:06!) back into the light!

Does the one you mention have a name or is it just THE ONE ?

We'll if they've already done the FastOne then what's the problem (besides the MTB bike) ?

You know us sothern folk are always happy to welcome the new folk, just make sure their visa is valid!!

Even Racman is coming for a ride on the 9th May, judging by his bikes he's probably as fast as GreyOwl or Nuwbie, I think I'll need a riding partner for the 9th doubt that I'll be able to keep up.

But if you really need help getting THE ONE to like road cycling just make sure Joe Low is around, he's still fresh has he apparently didn't compete in the Panorama - something about being chaced by elephants and then drinking in the pub.

Agteros, you know we ride every weekend unless it's rainning. Even the cold can't stop some people, please don't mistake them for skiers.

Nish4, Slave, Ox, Kid - I have tried all avenues to get the list of remaining seeding events for the 94.7. But I havent had much luck thus far. Best I can do is a list of the races that is timed by Racetec (Winning time), that will probably be looked at. I am sure some of the ChampionC results will also be looked at, but they place a lot of emphasis on the RT races.

So if you wanna try and get a seeding for the race - here goes:

16 June - Fountains CC - 96 km

16 Aug - Tour de Soweto - 100 km

22 Aug - Lost City CC - 103 km

13 Sept - D2D - 116 km

27 Sept - Campus t C - 100 km

18 Okt - Amashova - 106 km

24 Okt - Telkom Satellite - 107km

I will however deny that I supplied it, or had anything to do with it if confronted with it later.smiley2.gif

Thanks Nuwb. That's great.

Will certainly try and enter some of those. Good chance I may get an entry for the Amoshova.

Hi Peter

Just sorting out sponsors and who will be seeding for us before we can advise which events are seeding events ? but basically all WT timed events will fall into the seeding index we use

Oh yes, almost forgot - Slave wont be rested enough by then, its just a couple weeks away.

Huff huff huff, I know 'cause I am training for it at the moment......

Nuwbie you the man.

Which races are you doing ? Maybe we can go together.

Ok I'm in for the Fountains Race.

Where's the info for the rest of the races ? (nothing on cycle lab)

Best I start training, so Saturday I'll sit on your wheel Nuwbie and remember to go for gold on Friday's race.

crashes on those flats... I did the first Caroursel - Warmbaths & back (2 stages on 1 day) race. Got a silver medal (all entrants did) for my effort to be dead last (I think).

But the yo-yoing in the bunches were B-A-D. Dropped off wheels to save the skin on my own backside! But I was too unfit, and the pace on the flats way too high (no down hills for a quick recovery!) so I ot dropped like an used tissue!

Would be really good for the kid who can smack 48 on those flats.

Just avoid the crashes.

Slavey, 48km/h isn't fast enough besides I'll need GreyOwl in front of me.
