I have been lazy this week, havent cycled since monday, lay in both yesterday and this morning. Feeling really sh*tty about it though.

Will make up over the weekend.

 

Not sure what is going on, but I have had 2 invites on same day to join some MTB rides. Maybe I can become a man again (hey Nance), by joining them and becoming strong and lean and even fast?

I think you need to be reminded that when you were doing 48 along the loop, you were pulling GO, Nuwbie and myself along at that speed. YOU were up front.

Your memory is fuzzy, let me help you a little.

The day you speak of I was doing 38km/h for that last stretch, when I'm going the other way and following GO I've managed to do 48km/h.

 

TIP: Don't p!ss on GreyOwl I don't feel like doing the steps tomorrow at 35+km/h.

no no no - I am agteros not ox (like in the Beast) coz I aint strong, but I get there in the end.. like "agteros kom ook in die kraal". why you guys wanna creata foncusion with me being something I ain't not.

 

I struggle to avg 30km/h on the road bike, 20 on the MTB is very elusive, and 5min/km running seems elusive as well... ox, oxman? never!

Not sure kid, looking for all sorts of ways to ditch weight and baggage. Not sure ot will count in the bike though and that's where it matters.

 

BTW, not only my memory is fuzzy. You should see the world from where I sit. Dude, fuzzy only begns to describe it.

 

It does have it's upside though, I get to meet new people every day.

Last week he chickened out of the steps. Made some lame excuse about riding up from Meyerton for an hour to come and ride and then headed back by turning right on the bridge.

 

I think he went to the shops for a coke and a rest before he rode up the steps. Maybe he was too embarrased to be seen with me on my farm gate.

 

Come to think of it, maybe he gave me those nine speeds hoping I could go faster and stay with him. I'll have to try harder this weekend.
