Marius Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Sadly, we have had to halt production of the Ti2 Racing Brakes, the lightest Dual Pivot Calipers in the world. The rising cost of titanium and aerospace grade aluminum have squeezed our thin margins to zero. WHAT A SHAME!!!
R2S2 Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 The price of raw titanium and aluminium has virtually nothing to do with the production cost of these or any other cycle bits. I think plain old supply and demand (or lack of people with silly money) is what is probably rather putting the squeeze on them. They still are nice though...
Guest Big H Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Blame it on the Airbus A380...... the sheer quantity of Carbon Fibre and Titanium used by the behemoth are draining all possible reserves, thus the rise in costs and availability.
