MTB advice

I originally were looking at getting an entry level mtb like the Silverback for my daughter.

This weekend I had a look at the Merida Juliet 40 and liked it.

Any advice or thoughts on that bike?

 

Don't really know mtb's so any advice will do.

My Friend, she just bought the merida Juliet 40 and loves it...

I think for a female doing short distances, there is no point going dual sus, so look at a hardtail.

Also a very good bike is the female GT Zaskar. ( LX/XT components.)
