STi's abd LX Shadow Derraileur.... will it work??

I recently bought a High Normal  Low Normal or Rapid Rise Shimano LX Shadow rear derraileur on the www.chainreactioncycles.com flood sale. I want to use it on el rapido, our tandem. We use Shimano 105 STi's. I can set the Flightdeck for the "other way around" derraileur. Any reason why it should not work????? Big H2008-12-10 05:52:24

High Normal is a regular derailleur. Low normal or rapid rise is the other way round.

I dont know the 105 sti's but if its 9 speed it should work. I dont see why not.

MTB rear derraileurs are used on Tandems as they are more adept to the rigours of Tandem cycling. The bike currently has a Shimano LX long cage derraileur on that works very well with the 105's.

Well then you should be fine. Was just wondering if road/MTB had different leverage ratios kinda like Sram / Shimano mtb levers.

It works, you just have to do a handstand or hang from the ceiling when adjusting it. It is confusing.
