I'm always amused when I see used saddles for sale...mainly due to my belief that a used saddle is 'moulded' according to the previous user. Is this correct, or am I missing something?

I use a carbon fiber saddle, it don't form to anything:-P Most saddles have a carbon or plastic body with a thin layer of leather or plastic over it, it's to little to make it form. Those ladies saddels are a diff story, it's go so much padding it's not funny!

The only saddle that will mold to your arse is a Brooks. It's made of a piece of cow skin that's stretched between two supports and doesn't rest on a base. This thing will eventually take on your shape after years of abusing your body first.

Nowadays we all ride hard plastic saddles. They're as good 2nd hand as the day they were purchased, except for scuffs and scrapes.
