the jockey wheels are kind of specific, i have used a 9speed jockey on 10 speed and the otherway around, some are wider than others, main difference comes between shimano and campy were one has 10teeth and one has 11,

You should know the answer to that. Just think about our jockey wheel "jewellery" Wink

smiley36.gif when i finally got round to buying something to hang mine on, and when i showed the boys, they were horrified! they and kelly had bought me a set for xmas! smiley36.gif the totally gold ones! i didn't let on, but told kelly that she should let them know, subtley, that i "need" a full pair for my bike! smiley2.gif smiley36.gif

what do you reckon? should i put them on the spesh? or the trance. i toyed with the idea of putting them on the alice b toeclips bike as an extra accent, but the gold is "brighter" and more "orange"* than the gold anodised hubs on the last bike.

Found the following at www.chainreactioncycling.com

Geniune replacement Jockey wheels for Shimano rear gear mechs., Cogs Available for various sizes of rear Mech.

** We advise our customers to be careful in choosing the correct Combination of jockey wheels to match their shimano rear mechs.

I do know that quality differs from Deore to XTR wrt the rollers inside the Jockey wheels. I know Campy has 10 teeth whilst Shimano has 11 teeth, So does Sram.

and for road bikes? i mean, there's no need for me to change the dura ace ones, as the gruppo's been well-maintained, was just wandering what i should do with my prezzie, and if there was anything i shouldn't do.

ps, hey hendrik! trust you had a great day!

LOL Wish I could've seen their faces!

You can actually put them on any of your bikes in my humble opinion (Hub Style Man might disagree). My red jockey wheels get dirty so quickly and you barely notice the colour. Keeping them clean is near impossible.

Colour dyslexic or colour blind?????

not colour-blind. i know it sounds weird, but i can tell the difference between colours (ie, tell colours apart); i can't tell you what they are, or put names to them. it's a weird learning disability i have been lumbered with all my life.

I am totally colour blind but through association I have learnt myself colours. Only when the colours are very close to each other and used in strange circumstances I am stumped. Did you know that ONLY men can be colour blins and that the gene is carried by women and only pass it on to their daughters.

they are a great set, made a small difference in shifting but they for bling and not performance so it really makes no difference to me

have a red set on my tarmac's dura-ace and it looks awesom

i remember coming across facts like that when i tried to make sense of what was wrong with me. that's pretty much what i did too. i know the spesh i just got is red, cos i've been told! it's the same with the bikes and stuff in the shop. i read the catalogues and match them up to the stuff on the floor! if nothing else, it gives my kids hours of laughs at my expense smiley36.gif of course, at school, coupled with add, it made for hours of caning smiley3.gif smiley36.gif
