Crossmark tire tread

I have a question to others who is riding this type of tire.

When riding it seems that the tire is not straight on the rim, i.e. if you look at the centerline of the tread it wobbles, but on closer inspection it does seem that the tire is fitted correctly to the rim and looks even all-round.

Has anyone else noticed this?

There is a little rubber ridge around the wheel and this is evenly spaced from the rim all around.

Both front and back wheels are doing this?

Any ideas?

Weird, mine only does that when I "burped" the tyre, I then have to take it off and put it back on again. But some times it don't work, it's almost like the beads on the rim has worped / streched out and the wobble will not go away. Then I just buy a new tyre.

no it just looks weired......and I was sitting here wondering if it is right to be like that?

Surely they should have explensive equipment to make these thing 100%?

If you look at the new batch of crossmarks the crosses on the middle of the tread dont even line up properly. I dont think its a problem but as you say for that amount of cash I would expect the Swiss flag to be a cross and not a Tetris block.

Sometimes new tyres do this. This is because they are packaged folded up. Are yours new? Should sort itself out.

sorry for the stupid question but what is "burped"?

Yes they were doing it since new, have about 600km on them now....how can I fix it? take the tire of and put it back? Do I have to replace the sludge when I take it of?

the rims seems 1005 straight.....

What you could do is deflate tyre, wipe a bit of diluted dishwashing liquid on the bead and then reinflate so that you get a good fit on the rim. Dont take the tyre off and you shouldnt need to do anything to your sludge. Just check that there is enough while your tyre is off.

Apart from that, nothing more you can do as far as I know.

I notice mine also can mount on and wobble 1st time, I apply some dishwashing liquid as above and then pump them to about 4 bars to seat like a mofo...then deflate to desired pressure.

it's a problem because you can feel the bump on every revolution.

Not sure. Your bottle should say. Be on the lookout for snot balls which can seriously unbalance your wheel. I do believe bombs to be a large culprit in forming these evil critters.
