Just give her a good service before hand.

What is your weight, I would sujest getting some high volume tyres, (2.2 or bigger and running tubeless at 2 bar or lower, to give you some comfort. If you are > 85 kgs ignore all the best and spend the money on mind altering drugs, you'll need them

If it's in good nick and recently serviced, you'll be fine. (the bike that is...)

tubeless...maxxis tyres are great, monorail or larsens or crossmarks...
